X-Cross Green Line
Dehumidification with heat recovery for greenhouses
More insulation in the greenhouse means less venting, and less venting means the moisture stays. That is why active dehumidification with heat recovery is not a luxury: it is what makes Next Generation Growing (Het Nieuwe Telen) work.

What goes wrong without it
- fungal pressure in the autumn
- a crop that gets wet
- botrytis
- energy that disappears through the vents
What the X-Cross Green Line does
The X-Cross recovers heat from air that you have to dehumidify anyway. The moisture goes out without venting, and the heat stays in the greenhouse.
- All-in-one unit. Heating, cooling and dehumidification in one unit; no separate installations.
- Climate within the band. Active dehumidification with heat recovery. How often your climate leaves the band, we calculate for your space.
- Less CO₂. Electric instead of gas. How much you save depends on your electricity. In the report we calculate with your own contract.
- Decentralised. Each unit works on its own. If one fails, the others keep running.
What you get from us
A calculation using your own figures: your space, your use and your energy prices. The report shows the latent and the sensible load separately, with the standards and the assumptions, so that you and your adviser can check every step. Anything we do not know, we call an assumption.
Product sheet X-Cross Green Line (PDF, in Dutch). The technical data follow from the calculation for each project.
Standards we calculate with
- NEN-EN 12831 (heat loss)
- Kas als Energiebron and the guidelines of Next Generation Growing (Het Nieuwe Telen)
- NEN-EN 14511
- Besluit activiteiten leefomgeving (Dutch environmental rules)
Questions we are often asked
How does a greenhouse dehumidifier with a heat pump work?
The unit draws in humid greenhouse air and cools it below its dew point. The moisture condenses and drains away as water. The heat released in the process goes back into the greenhouse through the heat pump.
Can I keep the screens closed without moisture problems?
That is what active dehumidification is for: the moisture goes out without venting. How much your greenhouse needs, we calculate from your crop and your screening regime.
Do I have to go through the crop for maintenance?
Not if the unit stands outside the growing area, with ducts to the greenhouse. We choose the location together.
How much ductwork runs through the greenhouse?
That depends on where the unit stands and how the air is distributed. In the design we draw the ducts and connections for your greenhouse.
When will this pay for itself?
We do not calculate that from an assumption. In the 3D world you enter your own investment under "Reken met uw eigen maten" (calculate with your own figures); you then see the payback time based on your numbers.
How do I demonstrate the moisture balance to my client?
The report shows the latent and the sensible load separately, with the standards and the assumptions, so you can check every step.
Does a greenhouse dehumidifier qualify for the Dutch EIA?
For businesses taxed in the Netherlands: the RVO Energy List 2026 includes a system for dehumidifying horticultural greenhouses under code 220304, including a version with a heat pump. We confirm per project whether your installation matches the description. Read more about Dutch tax incentives.
